Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Temporary Activity visa (subclass 408) – Entertainment Activities, you must meet the following requirements:

Have a supporter if applying for the visa in Australia, or a sponsor if applying from outside Australia and intending to stay for more than 3 months
Provide a contract or other evidence of your planned entertainment activity in Australia
Be able to support yourself and any dependents during your stay in Australia
Intend to work in an eligible entertainment activity category
Meet the health and character requirements
Have adequate health insurance
Be a genuine temporary entrant
Have paid any debt owed to the Australian government
Sign the Australian values statement
Declare that you have not paid for visa sponsorship
Not have had a visa cancelled or a previous application refused in Australia

To apply for this visa, you must choose one of the following entertainment activity categories:

Performing in a film or television production subsidized by the government
Performing in a film or television production not subsidized by the government
Performing in activities other than film or television
Working as production staff
Working as support staff for an entertainer or group of entertainers
Working as a performer or support staff for a non-profit engagement
Working on a documentary or commercial for an overseas market
