'Study USA and Visa' Talk at Bhubaneswar, IndiaMonday, February 06, 2012
There was a 'Study USA and Visa' talk held at the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar, India on February 2, 2012. Organized by the U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad and the U.S.-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), the talk aimed to help students from India understand the process of choosing a U.S. university and the process of applying for a U.S. visa. According to Elvin John, Vice Consul, U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad, the consulate wants the students to identify a clear purpose when deciding to study in the U.S. "Clarity in purpose is a strong indication of the student's intentions to study in the U.S. Students also should do their own research and not go to consultants for guidance", Mr. John suggested. At the Talk, USIEF also vowed to assist Indian students in choosing the accredited U.S. universities that are the most suitable for their academic and professional needs. Renuka Raja Rao, Country Coordinator, Educational Advising Services, USIEF said that they encouraged Indian students to obtain genuine and relevant advice through these fairs, which have become very popular over the years. The official data shows that the number of student visa applications to the U.S. across Mission India has increased by 18 percent during the last fiscal year. Currently, there are approximately 1,050,000 Indian students studying various courses across the U.S. If you are interested in Visas to the USA, contact Migration Expert for information and advice on which visa is best suited to you.
