VISITOR VISA TO THE UNITED STATES

SPOUSAL VISITOR VISA (V-1) (K-3) TO THE UNITED STATES

Spousal Visitor Visa allows you to come to the United States if you are married to a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder to await approval of your Permanent Resident application for up to four months. If you wish to come to the United States to join your spouse while your application is pending, the Spousal Visitor Visa is best suited for you!

VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS

The United States requires spousal visitors to obtain a Spousal Visitor Visa prior to entry and show that the purpose of their trip is to enter the United States to await approval of their Permanent Resident application. Basic requirements include that the visitor is legally married to a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder and that a Permanent Residence application has been previously filed with U.S. immigration. Visitors may also be required to meet certain criminal and medical requirements.

VISA ENTITLEMENTS

Spousal Visitor Visa provides great flexibility in allowing you to engage in various activities during your stay in the United States, including, tourism, travel throughout to all 50 states, attendance to festivals, conferences, conventions, sporting and musical events, and visits with friends and family.

In addition, you may also engage in short-term study during your stay.

An extension may be permitted under the Spousal Visitor Visa if it expires prior to the processing of the Permanent Resident application.

Work is not permitted while in the United States on a Spousal Visitor Visa, however, you may apply for a work permit.
