SEASONAL AGRICULTURAL WORKER VISA (H-2A) BASIC REQUIREMENTS
The Seasonal Agricultural Worker Visa requires applicants to obtain the visa prior to entry and show that the purpose of their entry is for employment either on a temporary or seasonal basis. The position must be full-time, requiring at least 40 hours of employment per week. Applicants may also be required to meet certain health and character requirements.
SEASONAL AGRICULTURAL WORKER VISA (H-2A) ENTITLEMENTS
Seasonal Agricultural Worker Visas are granted for an initial period of a 1-year stay in the United States, with the possibility of 1-year extensions. Applicants may not remain in the US for more than 3 years. Spouses and unmarried children under the age of 21 who wish to accompany or join the visa holder in the United States may obtain the relevant derivative visa. This will allow spouses and children to study in private or public schools in the United States without the need to obtain a Study Visa.
