REPRESENTATIVE OF FOREIGN MEDIA VISA (I) BASIC REQUIREMENTS
The applicant must be a bona fide representative of the foreign press, radio, film, television or other foreign information media and entering the United States solely to work in that vocation. The applicant’s activities must be to primarily benefit the foreign-based media company. There must be reciprocity between the US and the applicant’s home country, and the applicant's home office must be in a foreign country. The applicant may also be required to meet certain health and character requirements.
REPRESENTATIVE OF FOREIGN MEDIA VISA (I) ENTITLEMENTS
Representatives of Foreign Media Visas are granted for the duration of the applicant’s job status, meaning, so long as the applicant is performing his or her job duties, the applicant may remain in the US.
Spouses and unmarried children under the age of 21 who wish to accompany or join the visa holder in the United States may obtain the relevant visa. This will allow spouses and children to study in private or public schools in the United States without the need to obtain a study visa. Spouses and children are not entitled to work without an approved employment authorization document.
