TRAINEE VISAS TO THE UNITED STATES
INTERN (J-1) VISA
Foreign post-secondary students and recent foreign post-secondary graduates may come to the United States to engage in an internship with a company or organization in the US. Applicants can live and train temporarily in the United States to gain valuable skills in a number of areas of study in order to enhance their skills and knowledge and gain valuable practical experience.
A sponsoring organization must approve the applicant’s internship with the US company or organization. In addition, the sponsor ensures that the US company or organization hosting the applicant introduces the applicant to various cultural activities in the US to enhance their experience in America.
