VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS
The United States requires visitors to obtain a Fiancé(e) Visitor Visa prior to entry and show that their intention is to marry a U.S. citizen under the laws of the state where the marriage is to take place. Basic requirements include that the marriage takes place within 90 days of the fiancé(e)s entry and that the fiancée returns home at the end of his or her stay. In addition, the fiancé(e) must maintain his or her residence abroad and show proof of binding ties to insure return. Fiancé(e)s may also be required to meet certain criminal and medical requirements.

Work is not permitted while in the United States on a Fiancé(e) Visitor Visa, however, you may apply for a work permit.
After the marriage, you may adjust your status and apply for Permanent Residence.
