EXCHANGE VISAS TO THE UNITED STATES
The Exchange Visitor Program was established to allow foreigners to experience the United States and its way of life. There are several categories of educational and cultural exchanges within the Exchange Visitor Program that are facilitated by public and private entities who act as exchange sponsors. The program allows foreigners over the age of 18 to participate in a wide and diverse range of programs for a specified period of time.

CAMP COUNSELOR VISA (J-1)The Camp Counselor category allows post-secondary students and youth workers to work with American youth at summer camps for up to four months. |

PROFESSOR VISA (J-1)The Professor category allows foreign professors to come to the United States to teach or research with their American colleagues for a specified period. |
RESEARCH SCHOLAR VISA (J-1)The Research Scholar category allows foreign research scholars to teach, lecture or conduct research with their American colleagues. |

SHORT-TERM SCHOLAR VISA (J-1)The Short-term Scholar category allows foreign professors or research scholars to lecture, observe, consult or train at a variety of US institutions for up to six (6) months. |
SPECIALIST VISA (J-1)The Specialist category allows foreign experts in fields of specialized knowledge to come to the United States temporarily to consult, demonstrate or observe specialist skills. |

SUMMER WORK / TRAVEL VISA (J-1)The Summer Work / Travel program allows post-secondary students to travel and work during their summer vacation in non-skilled positions in the US. |
TEACHER VISA (J-1)The Teacher program offers qualified foreign teachers the opportunity to teach elementary primary or secondary students in the US for a specified period of time. |
