WORK VISAS TO THE UNITED STATES
ADVANCED DEGREE HOLDER / EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY VISA TO THE UNITED STATES
Persons holding advanced degrees or their equivalent can come to the United States to live and work in permanent resident status if they have a job offer.
In addition, persons who have demonstrated exceptional ability in the fields of the sciences, arts or business that will substantially benefit the US, and whose services are sought by an employer in the US, can also come to the United States to live and work permanently.
ADVANCED DEGREE HOLDER/EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY VISA (EB-2) BASIC REQUIREMENTS
The applicant must be seeking entry to the United States in response to a job offer. The applicant must have completed an advanced degree, which is required to accept the job offer, or possess the equivalent work experience. The applicant must demonstrate a degree of expertise in the required field that is outstanding achievement rather than ordinary. In addition, the applicant will be subject to health and character requirements.
ADVANCED DEGREE HOLDER/EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY VISA (EB-2) ENTITLEMENTS
Applicants under this visa can apply for a national interest waiver, which affords them a speedier immigration process if they can show that the employment is national in scope and will benefit the entire country. Visa holders can live and work in the United States permanently. Their spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21 who wish to accompany the visa holder may also obtain US Green Cards.
Obtaining permanent residence in the US allows residents to take advantage of exceptional benefits. They may travel to and from the United States with few limitations, study and work in the US without any limitations, sponsor their close family members and apply for US citizenship when eligible to do so.
