Carol Maddison, UAE manager of VisitBritain has said that summer 2012 will be one of Britain's very best on record, with the London 2012 Olympics among many activities set for enjoyment over the coming months. She also added that Gulf tourists to the UK would find it easier to reach London and other unique cities in the country on any budget from family to luxury couples.

Both national carriers and low cost airlines offer ME great value and convenience. British Airways will launch "great" fares from Dubai and Abu Dhabi included with a variety of three-night stay packages with three, four and five-star accommodation. For example, Gulf travellers booking from July 24 to 27 on British Airways Club World business class to London can stay at the Central Park Hotel in Hyde Park starting at around Dh15,499 ($4,219) per person. For Gulf visitors booking between July 26 and 29 on World Traveller economy class there are deals that include three nights at the 3 star Royal National Hotel from Dh4,977 and the five-star Park Lane Hotel in Mayfair overlooking Green Park from Dh6,738 per person.

In addition, international visitors arriving in the UK for the London 2012 Olympics will have an opportunity to witness the best-connected games in the history of the Olympic and Paralympics Games with ten rail/tube lines serving the Olympic Park, the Channel Tunnel Rail Link which will provide a seven minute link between the Olympic Park and Central London, and the extension of the East London line.
