Announcement for UK Immigrant Students with International Baccalaureate QualificationsFriday, 26 August 2011 The UK Border Agency has made provisions for International Baccalaureate graduates who will not receive their award certificates in time to apply for university courses starting this September. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is an internationally recognized qualification for students aged between 16 and 19. It is based around detailed academic study of a wide range of subjects, including languages, the arts, science, math, history and geography. The UKBA has made provisional arrangements to accept alternate documentation to confirm Tier 4 Student visa applicants who have been offered a place in a course in the UK based on their IB award. This provisional arrangement will be remain in place until 15 September 2011. Other UK student visa applicants, are reminded of the following additional guidance:
