SPORTS VISITORS VISA UK
This new category of visa was introduced in November 2008 for sportspersons wishing to travel to the UK to take part in certain sporting events.
DO I QUALIFY FOR A SPORTS VISITOR VISA TO THE UK?

SPORTS VISITOR VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for a Sports Visitor visa, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must want to visit the UK for up to six (6) months;
- Have the intention to leave the UK at the end of their visit;
- Have enough money to support and accommodate themselves;
- Do not intend to charge members of the public for services provided or goods received;
- Do not intend to study; and
- Can meet the cost of the return or onward journey.
Furthermore, applicants will need to demonstrate that they intend to take part in a particular sporting event, tournament or series of events, including charity events. Applicants cannot be paid other than cash prizes or for board and lodging expenses.
SPORTS VISITOR VISA ENTITLEMENTS
This visa entitles holders to come to the UK for a sports visit of up to six (6) months to participate in the sporting events. The multiple entry visas are available for sports visitors for 6 months, 1, 2, 5 and 10 years.
