VISITOR'S VISA TO NEW ZEALAND
A Visitor's Visa is for people who want to travel to New Zealand for holidaying and tourism, business, or to visit friends and family. Passport holders from 'visa-free' countries may travel to New Zealand for short tourism purposes without having to apply for a visitor's visa beforehand. Those from 'visa-required' countries will need to apply for a visitor's visa ahead of travelling to New Zealand. Visitor's visas are also available for special categories of visitors, including eligible partners and dependants outlined under Family Visas.
Note that Australian citizens, and holders of Australian Returning Residents Visas, are normally exempt from having to hold a permit to be in New Zealand and, therefore, do not require a visitor's visa to travel to New Zealand.
