NEW ZEALAND RECOGNISED SEASONAL EMPLOYER LIMITED PURPOSE VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS

To obtain a limited purpose visa under the Recognised Seasonal Employer Work policy, you must meet requirements set by Immigration New Zealand. These include meeting health and character requirements. You must also be aged 18 or over, are overseas at the time you are applying (unless you already hold an RSE work permit); have a job offer from an approved seasonal employer, and have a genuine intention to work.

NEW ZEALAND RECOGNISED SEASONAL EMPLOYER LIMITED PURPOSE VISA ENTITLEMENTS

As the holder of a limited purpose visa under the RSE policy, you will be able to come to New Zealand to work in the horticulture or viticulture industry, for the employer specified on your visa and for the life of the visa. But there are several restrictions that you must adhere to as follows:

- You must leave New Zealand no later than when your permit expires;

- You may not apply for a different visa or permit while in New Zealand.

- You cannot request a special direction or permit under section 35A of the Immigration Act 1987 while in New Zealand

- You do not have the same appeal rights as holders of other permits.
