NEW ZEALAND EXCHANGE STUDENT VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS

To obtain an Exchange Student Visa, applicants must have an offer of a place in an approved student exchange scheme, and meet health and character requirements. Applicants also need to have made onward travel arrangements for when the exchange scheme has finished.

NEW ZEALAND EXCHANGE STUDENT VISA ENTITLEMENTS

As the holder of an Exchange Student Visa, individuals will have the right to study at a specified New Zealand school or tertiary institution for the duration for the visa. Generally, student visa holders cannot undertake employment. However, students in a tertiary student exchange scheme for at least one academic year may be allowed to work for up to 20 hours per week.
