NEW ZEALAND ENGLISH LANGUAGE STUDENT VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS

To obtain an English Language student visa, applicants must have an offer of a place from a New Zealand education provider to study an English Language course that has been approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). Applicants also need to meet minimum health requirements as dependent on the length of their stay.

Applicants studying for more than two years will need to provide a valid police certificate.

Individuals also need to have adequate funds to support themselves during their stay in New Zealand.

NEW ZEALAND ENGLISH LANGUAGE STUDENT VISA ENTITLEMENTS

As the holder of a student visa, individuals will be able to study for the course, and at the education provider specified, for the period stated on the visa. Generally, English Language student visa holders cannot undertake employment in New Zealand.
