WORKING HOLIDAY VISA TO NEW ZEALAND

WORKING HOLIDAYMAKER EXTENSION PERMIT TO NEW ZEALAND

The Working Holidaymaker Extension permit is part of the seasonal work visa programme, exclusively for individuals who have undertaken seasonal work in the horticulture or viticulture industries while on their working holiday. The permit allows working holidaymakers to extend their stay and is designed to encourage them to complete seasonal work during their time in New Zealand.

NEW ZEALAND WORKING HOLIDAYMAKER EXTENSION PERMIT BASIC REQUIREMENTS

In order to qualify for a Working Holidaymaker Extension permit, applicants must be in New Zealand, hold a work permit under the Working Holiday Scheme, and have outward travel arrangements.

Applicants must also provide evidence to show that they have done at least 3 months seasonal work (planting, maintaining, harvesting and packing crops) in the horticulture or viticulture industry during their stay in New Zealand. Applicants are not required to provide a job offer with their application.

As the Working Holiday Extension Permit is a one-off permit, applicants who have previously held one cannot make an application.

NEW ZEALAND WORKING HOLIDAYMAKER PERMIT ENTITLEMENTS

Approved Working Holidaymaker Permit applicants will be granted a work permit allowing a further three month stay in New Zealand. Working Holidaymaker Permits will be endorsed with the same conditions as their Working Holiday Permit.
