LONG TERM BUSINESS VISA NEW ZEALAND

A Long Term Business Visa is for business people who want to actively manage, purchase or establish a business in New Zealand. The Long Term Business Visa policy aims to encourage individuals with business skills to set up and operate new businesses in New Zealand, which will contribute to the country's economic growth.

Approved applicants are given a 3 year work visa, providing them time to establish their new business.

NEW ZEALAND LONG TERM BUSINESS VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS

To obtain a Long Term Business Visa, applicants must satisfy requirements set by Immigration New Zealand. The basic requirements include meeting health and good character criteria. Applicants need to meet English language requirements, provide a satisfactory business plan and supporting documents, and provide proof of separate funds (from the investment funds) to support themselves and their family.

Applicants will initially be granted with a 9 month work visa and/or permit to establish and start their proposed business operation. To obtain further visas and/or permits for the maximum three years, applicants need to provide evidence that the investment capital was transferred to New Zealand, and that reasonable steps have been taken to establish or invest in the proposed business.

NEW ZEALAND LONG TERM BUSINESS VISA ENTITLEMENTS

Holders of Long Term Business Visas will be able to live and work in New Zealand for up to 3 years. Applicants can include partners and dependent children in their applications, and will need to specify whether they are applying for a Student or Visitor's visa. Persons working for at least two years in New Zealand on a LTBV may be eligible to apply for residence under the Entrepreneur Category.
