NEW ZEALAND INTERNATIONAL STREAM WORK VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS

China Special Work Policy - applicants must have a job offer in a specialist field (as a Chinese Chef; Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner or Nurse; Mandarin teacher aide; Wushu Martial Arts Coach; or Chinese Tour Guide) and have the relevant qualifications and/or experience. Only a limited number of work visas for each occupation can be approved at any one time.
China Skilled Worker - applicants must have a job offer in one of 20 highly skilled occupations and have the required qualifications. The maximum number of workers that can be approved at any one time is 100 per occupation, and 1000 in total.
Interpreters from Japan - must be suitably qualified; have an offer of employment of up to 3 years; and a written guarantee from their employer to pay wages and cover appropriate medical insurance; accommodation needs and the cost of return travel.
Thai Chefs - must have completed prescribed qualifications; have relevant work experience; hold a job offer for a term of up to 3 years and have a written guarantee from their employer to pay their wages.
