WORK VISAS TO NEW ZEALAND

GRADUATE JOB SEARCH VISA TO NEW ZEALAND

The Graduate Job Search Visa allows individuals who have gained desirable New Zealand qualifications to obtain an 'open' work visa/permit and search for a job that will provide relevant work experience. This policy aims to encourage recent graduates to consider working in New Zealand and applying for residence later on.

New Zealand is looking for a range of skilled migrants with skills, experience and training, and proficiency in English, to settle in New Zealand and help contribute to the country's growth.

Applicants who have been in New Zealand on a student visa and completed a qualification that would qualify for points under the Skilled Migrant Category may make an application.

NEW ZEALAND GRADUATE JOB SEARCH VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS

To obtain a Graduate Job Search Work Visa/Permit, applicants must meet basic health and good character requirements. In addition, applicants must have successfully completed a qualification in New Zealand that would qualify for points under the Skilled Migrant Category for residence and have sufficient funds to support themselves during their stay in New Zealand.

Applications for a Graduate Job Search Visa/Permit must be made no later than three months after the end date of the student permit held for the applicant's qualifications

NEW ZEALAND GRADUATE JOB SEARCH VISA ENTITLEMENTS

Holders of a Graduate Job Search work permit will be entitled to work, and look for a job that is relevant to their qualifications, for a period of up to 12 months. Individuals who have found a relevant job offer may then apply for a further work permit under the Work to Study policy.
