VISITOR'S VISA TO NEW ZEALAND
BUSINESS VISITOR'S VISA TO NEW ZEALAND
Business visitors are included as a special category of visitor under visitor's visa policy. A Business Visitor's Visa allows individuals to come to New Zealand for business purposes (excluding work) for up to 3 months.
Individuals from visa-free countries intending to travel to New Zealand for business purposes for no more than three months do not need to apply for a visitor's visa and may be granted with a visitor's permit on arrival, subject to meeting basic visitor's requirements.
NEW ZEALAND BUSINESS VISITOR'S VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS
To obtain a Business Visitor's Visa, applicants must meet the basic health and good character criteria, and be a genuine business visitor. That is, they do not intend to work or undertake study (unless the course is less than 3 months in duration). Applicants must have proof that they have made arrangements to leave New Zealand when the visa expires and have sufficient funds to support themselves during their stay
Individuals arriving in New Zealand on a passport from a visa-free country should have evidence of outward travel and sufficient funds to support their stay ready to present to an Immigration Officer at the border.
Visa-free countries: Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay and Vatican City. Please note that Australian citizens are exempt from obtaining a visa.
NEW ZEALAND BUSINESS VISITOR'S VISA ENTITLEMENTS
Approved business visitors will be issued with a visitor's visa and/or permit, allowing a stay in New Zealand of up to 3 months. Business visitors may participate in business matters, such as negotiations or conferences, but they may not work in New Zealand. Holders of a visitor's visa may, however, undertake a course of study that is less than 3 months long, for example, a short English language course. Business people intending to stay in New Zealand for more than 3 months in any one year should apply for a work visa instead.
