CANADIAN IMMIGRATION NEWS
Fast Track residency offered by Immigration Canada to Indian familiesWednesday, 11 March 2009 According to Indian news sites, the Canadian government has launched a special Canadian visa offering permanent residency for Indian families who can invest eight lakh Canadian dollars. Successful visa applicants need only demonstrate a minimum of two years business experience and a sum of at least eight lakh Canadian dollars and due to the large sum invested with Citizen and Immigration Canada (CIC), conditions are normally very fair. As a result, the Federal Immigrant Investor Visa (FIIP) is fast becoming the favourite route to Canadian citizenship for Indians on the move to Canada. Sylvain Payetee, President of Renaissance Capital Inc (RCI) of Canada, told Indopia that the country was extending warm welcome to prospective immigrants with the potential to invest and under FIIP which ensures expeditious processing of permanent resident status applications. "What makes FIIP even more attractive was the proposition of investing a refundable investment of four lakh Canadian dollars with Canadian government returnable after five years and seek PR status for self and family", he added.
