Makes, alters and repairs womens or mens tailored garments, formal wear, couturier clothing, or special occasion wear, such as suits, dresses, coats, evening wear and bridal wear.

Skill Level:

The entry requirement for this occupation is an AQF Certificate III or higher qualification.

Tasks Include:

  • lays up fabric for cutting
  • cuts fabric
  • pins, bastes or drapes garment parts
  • sews garments
  • presses and finishes work
