CODE OF CONDUCT AUSTRALIA
PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
Under Australian law, a person who wishes to operate as a Migration Consultant or Agent must be registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA). Migration Expert confirms that its Migration Consultants are all registered with MARA which is responsible for administering the Code of Conduct.
The Code of Conduct is intended to regulate the conduct of Migration Consultants. Amongst the requirements of the Code, is the ability of Consultants to demonstrate good character as well as competency in the provision of Australian immigration advice. The final report of the Baird Review on legislation governing international education shows support for recent Government immigration policy changes.
The minister for Immigration and Citizenship, Senator Chris Evans has released a public statement confirming the Governments position that the 457 Visa programme should only be used when employers are unable to find the skilled workers within Australia.
New Immigration figures show that almost 90 percent of 457 Subclass Temporary Overseas work visas granted in 2009-10 went to managers and highly skilled professional workers.
