Provides technical advice and support to users of computer software and hardware.

Skill Level:

The entry requirement for this occupation is an AQF Diploma or higher qualification. In some instances relevant experience is required in addition to the formal qualification.

Tasks Include:

  • determines software and hardware requirements to provide solutions to problems;
  • adapts existing programs to meet users requirements;
  • answers queries on software and hardware problems;
  • installs and downloads appropriate software;
  • ensures efficient use of applications and equipment.
