London Tourism on the Rise

New Figures show that 2006 was a record year for the number of tourists visiting the UK Capital.

Tourism to London is worth approximately £15 Billion ($29.7 Billion USD) per year.

London was the only major European city to reverse the trend of falling tourism figures over the past few years.

Contributing to the increase are London's winning bid for the 2012 summer Olympics, and London’s increasing prominence and the world global capital. Globally based firms are increasingly choosing London over other financial centres like New York, creating an associated increase in visiting, tourism, and world prominence.

London's share of global tourism currently sites at approximately 1.8% of all world-wide visits.
