Nova Scotia to attract more skilled immigrants
Thursday, 27 September 2007
The province of Nova Scotia and the Canadian Federal government will work together to attract more skilled immigrants to the maritime province.
Diane Finley, Canada's immigration minister, has traveled to Halifax to sign a new immigration agreement.
Not only will the new agreement allow Nova Scotia to nominate more skilled workers for fast-tracked visa application through the Provincial Nominee Program, but will also focus on marketing strategies for Nova Scotia abroad.
Temporary workers and foreign students are also expected to benefit from the new agreement.
