Foreign credentials referral services offered across OntarioTuesday, 30 October 2007 Citizenship and Immigration Canada has announced that more that 75 Service Canada centres in Ontario can now provide foreign credential information and referral services in-person. The new foreign Credentials Referral office (FCRO) is designed to help internationally trained individuals get their foreign qualifications assessed more quickly than before. The move is expected to help remove a significant barrier to newcomers finding skilled work in Canada. The FCRO can help internationally trained individuals by assessing their credentials rapidly and providing referrals to related educational services and regulatory bodies as needed. This will help individuals to connect with employers who want to know at-a-glance how an international qualification compares to a Canadian one. |
