Latvia now eligible for Electronic travel Authority

From 27th October 2008, Latvian nationals are able to travel to Australia on electronic visas (e-visas).

Latvia was one of the European countries that were not on the list of ETA eligible countries until the new e-visa came into effect nearly a fortnight ago.

This visitor visa allows Latvian nationals to holiday in Australia for no more than 3 months from the date of each arrival. The e-visa is a "label free" visa meaning that there is no physical visa label in your passport. Holders of this visa can enter Australia as many times as they want within a 12 month period, not exceeding the 3 month stay period.

Most of the applications for the e-visas will be automatically granted (or within 24hrs). All applicants must be outside of Australia at the time of applying for their visa for their visa to be granted.
