Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

  • acts as a communicator and interpreter on behalf of clients
    Health Worker and other health personnel
  • provides clinical functions, including case management and
    Liaises with patients, clients and visitors to hospitals and health follow-up, independently or in consultation with other health
    clinics and works as a team member to arrange, coordinate and care providers
    provide health care delivery in Aboriginal and Torres Strait
  • provides health education to individual clients and health staff
    Islander community health clinics.
  • provides cultural education to persons outside the cultural community and life skills education to the community they

The entry requirement for this occupation is an AQF Diploma

  • provides counselling and referral for crisis problem cases or higher qualification or at least 3 years relevant experience. In
  • provides input to the planning, development,
    some instances relevant experience is required in addition to implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all health
    the formal qualification. Registration or licensing may be programs in the community

    facilitation, orientation, induction and development

Tasks Include:

UNIT GROUP 3494 MASSAGE THERAPISTS

MASSAGE THERAPISTS perform therapeutic massage and administer body treatments for health, fitness and remedial
purposes.

Skill Level:

The entry requirement for this unit group is an AQF Diploma or higher qualification or at least 3 years relevant experience. In
some instances relevant experience is required in addition to the formal qualification.

Tasks Include:

  • massaging the soft tissues of the body to assist healing, promote relaxation and relieve tension
  • assessing and treating specific soft tissue dysfunction and providing rehabilitation advice
  • employing other techniques, such as acupressure or Shiatsu, and complimentary aids such as infra red lamps, wet
    compresses, ice, essential oils and herbal and mineral therapies, to assist recovery
